Say Cheese!

I don’t know that if this count as a “Random Act of Kindness” but it means a lot to me when I offer to do this. So, I guess it can count.

I learned a hard lesson when I was preparing the photos for my late husband’s memorial service. As I was sorting through all of the pictures that I had, I realized that all of them were either just him or just me. Not very many with the both of us. As I made a call out for more pictures of him with families and friends to use in the video montage, the pictures of us started to trickle in. I also started to notice a pattern in all of the photos of Russ, he was always making a funny face in it or doing rabbit ears behind other people head. He sure loved to make people laugh!

I realized that I now had a mission to help people capture that special moments. So, on my trip, when I see couples or families taking pictures, I always offer to take the picture for them. While I’m doing it, I tell them to take another one a with funny pose. Sometimes I have to convince them really hard but once they get going, everyone is laughing so hard. Laughter is the best memories to have!

Only once in all of the times that I offered to take their pictures for them, I was turned down. I can only guess is that they thought I would try to steal their camera. So, the next time that you’re out and about, take a moment to offer to take someone picture for them.

Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words.
