Ride More!

Every year, our New Year’s Resolution has always been is to “Ride More!”. There are too many roads that we want to ride on and places to visit. However, Murphy’s Law always play tricks on us and we end up having to do something else instead.

For example, we realized that we wanted to do more street than dirt. So, in the middle of last year, we decided to invested in new motorcycles that will satisfy the needs for more touring type of an adventure. We took our maiden ride out to Newcomb’s Ranch for a day. It was a beautiful day with 188 miles of sweeping curves on Highway 2. We got to learn and feel how our new bikes handles on various type of roads. We were pleased with our choices.

Then shortly after that ride, Mark got injured at work. The severity of injury forced his left Pointer finger to be amputated. So with three months of recovery and therapy left little time to ride. Once, he was able to ride again, came our least favorite season of the year, winter.

We are counting down the days to warmer weather again. I’m such a total wimp about the cold, the hotter the better, any day. Come rain or shine, we booked a weekend of riding around Coachella Valley in a couple of weekend to force us to “Ride More!”

This is day 4 of the Brave, Bold, Blogger Challenge (BBBC) 2017 hosted by Kathy at ToadMama.com

  1. For year round riding I can recommend heated gloves and jacket! Just plug them in to your bike’s electric system and off you go….!
Living in England I guess I use them for ten months of the year!!!!!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
    Ride safe.

    1. On the TW200, the CDI couldn’t handle that much output. Now with the bigger bikes, it is an investment that I need to look into. Too many things I want for the new bike but have to be patience. Yesterday, bought the panniers set so we can take longer trips.

      1. If your bike can handle it, so get some heated gear….you won’t regret it!

Can I ask a favour please?
There’s a young blogger called Hannah that has a blog about her struggles as a deaf teenager, she’s 19. I’ve pointed her in the direction of your blog as I thought that to read about an inspirational lady like you would be good for her. Could you drop in on her blog and maybe leave a message please? Thanks in hopeful anticipation.
